Within this blog post, I will discuss how holding space for our fears helps the manifestation process.
I have recently made some major life changes, which to be honest, I probably wouldn’t have made if the universe hadn’t demolished all my perceived comfort zones. Starting over at 54 is not what we are programmed to believe should be the order of things.
But the Aquarius age is here to challenge the old dysfunctional paradigms, here to shake everything up, throwing it in the air and encouraging us to surrender, to allow greater natural flow and to be guided by the unseen forces of the universe. So, I shouldn’t have been so surprised!
My heart knew change was coming and needed, my head screamed “No, stay where you are, nothing is perfect, your secure.” But that 3D perception of security was costing me my peace, and serenity and restricting my soul growth.
Walking the path of personal truth
Deciding to walk the path of our truth, is not all roses and butterflies. Hard, heart-wrenching choices often need to be taken. Sometimes loved ones get left behind, as we move forward, whilst they choose to remain still. Time and again I have witnessed this within the relationships of fellow spiritual coaches and healers, especially within the last 12 months. And experienced this in my own life.
I’m not going to pretend I have all the answers. Or that everything is planned, calculated and on paper adds up, like ducks in a row. I’m not going to pretend that fear doesn’t creep in and try to mess with my head. Doesn’t trigger anxiety and has me double guessing myself – because at least once a day it does!
But here’s the thing, every day I honour that fear, I acknowledge it and I thank it. That fear helps to keep me grounded but I also have the understanding, that it’s my responsibility to ensure it doesn’t keep me fixed or stuck. I have learnt that trying to pretend fear doesn’t exist only serves to keep it in the dark. Where it feeds and grows even stronger, creating even more scary scenarios and stories with the mind. So, I consciously give it my focus, every day I bring it into the light, I listen to the stories, the worries, the projected doom and gloom of the future and I thank it.
I acknowledge the areas that need further exploration. Or need a little foundational research from the valid points my fear expressed. As for the snowball rubbish that my overactive mind created in a negative way? I breathe, I wait, and I breathe some more. I use a Mantra that allows me to deeply connect with the radical faith of who I am and all I can be. And I give space and time for that to soothe my anxiety.
Why do I do this?
So, I don’t mess up the manifestation process!
We all make wishes, and have dreams and desires. We all consciously or unconsciously have an instinctual understanding of manifestation and start the process of co-creation. And yet few clear the space or listen for and be observant of the promptings. The synchronistic occurrences that guide us to its manifestation in the physical world.
Our fears, worries and anxieties are our biggest obstacles.
Those fears and anxieties usually stem from societal conditioning and throw-away phrases. Which most say without even considering the energetic significance or impact. And often they are not even said from the conscious mind but rather formed and spoken from the subconscious. Repeating loops of learnt dysfunctional and debilitating beliefs and values that only serve to keep us stuck and or stunt our growth.
Let’s look at some of those phrases and see how many resonate and shine a light on the darkness of the subconscious mind and its misguided concepts.
- Do you really want to be starting over, now… at your time of life?
- What about your pension?
- How is this going to affect the kids?
- Are you going to survive finically? (This is one of my favourites, as none of us should be surviving, the world is infinitely abundant but how many of us run survival programs?)
- What if it fails? Again, a favourite nobody asks, “what if it works?”
- Can you really make a living doing that?
- What does your family think?
- Are you being fair to your partner/ children?
- What are the financial implications?
- What’s your plan? Another favourite – as if the mind is more intelligent than divine guidance!
- How will that work?
- Are you sure about this?
- We all have dreams, but we must stay realistic
- You have it better than most, – why can’t you be content?
- Hello, earth calling …., time to come back down to the real world.
And whilst all these questions and concerns have a place of validation, they should not be controlling our life’s compass.
Why do many of us struggle with manifestation?
Each of us has a unique birth blueprint, a set plan of soul growth and learning for this lifetime, and these are shown to us through our dreams, our meditations, and our inner guidance system. The higher self, God-consciousness, or intuition, it’s known under many names. We also have missions and purpose which from my experience is always tied up with our soul growth blueprint. If we deny our dreams, wishes and desires that stem from within, because of logistics, fear, and other people’s opinions. We deny our universal blessings, that infinite abundance and amplify our struggles.

When learning manifestation few explain the yin and yang of the process. And few admit that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to our personal development. The slaying of personal dragons within the depths of the dark night of the soul, in which we shift our mindset and perceptions. Where we raise our frequencies and release old beliefs. Either developed by self or attained through conditioning and in doing so we step further away from fear-based thinking and into freedom thinking.
This is where we start to take responsibility and accountability for everything we experience. The good, the bad and the ugly. No blame, no shame, no projection, just a deeper understanding that we co-create our realities, so we have the power to change them. When we can align ourselves within these frequencies, materialistic desires fall away. Of course, we still need to pay the bills and have dreams of wonderful holidays. But the focus is not on the “I have, I want” but on, “how may I best be of service”. And it is through this transition that manifestation magic starts to flow.
Positive forward movement
If you are truly wanting to learn the art of fruitful manifestation, learn to hold space for your fears, look at them, and acknowledge them. Understand why they are present but don’t allow them to take control. Invest in yourself, invest in understanding who you are as a soul being. Start exploring what that means personally and within the collective. What do you or will you be offering to the world and humanity in the future – how can you be of service?
If you are struggling with these concepts of self-exploration but have a desire to learn more then reach out, my door is always open.
