Female Empowerment

Have you ever watched a flower bloom? A tiny bud blossoms into a flower glowing in beauty. It looks perfect, happy, and full of possibilities. It is unaware of any judgment and hence spreads cheer and joy. Compare the flower to yourself. Are you blooming like that? Have you reached your potential? If not, why? What’s stopping you? How can you remove those obstacles that are preventing you from being yourself?

Woman and her journey – the tough road ahead

Being a woman is a blessing, a gift, we get to create new life. Being women, we should be allowed to love the journey that womanhood brings and lead the life that we desire. We should be given every opportunity to grow, express ourselves, and enjoy life. However, often, most women face hindrances. They are marginalized, judged, devalued and expected to follow societal norms, created by and for men and in the process lose themselves.

This is where we need to recognize why women’s empowerment deserves our attention. This is not coming from a place of men v women, there is no them and us, but we need to be equal, there is a desperate need for balance. So integrated is the perceived male supremacy within social culture globally, that in most cases, we as women don’t consciously see it for what it is. These social boundaries limit women as human beings, a gross violation of human rights, (I like to think) without conscious intention. Still in 2020 women are not given equal opportunities for education, career, pay, and in some cultures, women are still a commodity owned first by her father then by a husband. With little to no consideration to her wants, needs and desires.

A daughter, wife, mother, employee.

A woman dons several hats, often all at the same time. It’s no surprise she loses herself! The pressure to conform is immense, she is expected to be an ideal mother and wife and at the same time meet her professional commitments. Often without any help or cooperation and often living in the shadow of the perfect women projected within the media. Still today women all over the world are made to feel they are failing their team, position when they take maternity leave. All adding to insecurities that she not enough. This emotional scarring takes a toll on her mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

We must openly discuss more women’s empowerment and give ourselves a chance to voice our concerns for ourselves and for our sisters. A woman should not feel threatened by society and especially she should not feel threatened by other women. A woman should be given equal opportunity to realize her dreams and know that her sisters has her back.

Women’s empowerment involves giving women equal opportunities. Access to medical facilities, education, and employment will ensure greater empowerment of women. However, I want to highlight another aspect that is often ignored by mainstream media. As said earlier, the emotional scarring that cripple’s a woman and prevents her from feeling empowered.

Emotional healing – the path to powerful transformation

We all have scars and the difference lies in whether we accept them or not. Women often deny their pain, feeling they don’t have the right to feel discontented, after all she has it better than most! That unwillingness or inability to look reality in the face results in negative self-talk. Which in turn imposes self-limiting beliefs. So, it is important to know and accept our hurts and find ways to heal them.

“True emotional healing doesn’t happen without feeling. The only way out is through.”
Jessica Moore

Past experiences cause trauma that weakens our spirit. Our self-esteem suffers and we become victims of the situations. Negative energies build that make us feel weak. Why do we get weak? Think of your shopping, when you put it into the trunk its heavy but manageable, when to take it into the house its heavy but again manageable, but if you tried to carry it all the way home you would be exhausted. Now consider how you would feel it you carried it all day, every day. Emotional healing can lead to the release of the negative energy. How to ensure proper healing? We have to realize that it is not done in a day. It is a process that takes time. A lot of unearthing happens on the inside which finally leads to total transformation. What is the most effective way to free ourselves?

Emotional healing and coaching – connecting your mind, body, and soul

Life is a journey and we should be enjoying every moment. Yes, there will be setbacks, hurts, pains, but also a large share of glory too. The way we deal with them depends on our mental strength, our mindset.

To heal emotionally, we must pay attention to our feelings. I have seen that being mindful helped me immensely to acknowledge my feelings and push through them. By ignoring our emotions, we keep ourselves stuck, locked into dis-empowering situations. Instead we should honour them and mindfully express them, so we can move through them, to get over them.

This can be tough but with self-love and care, we can all do it. Meditation also helps in this regard. When we meditate, we tap into our inner power to heal and love ourselves. We stop looking for love outside and start to accept who we are. This lessens the pain and begins the process of self-healing.

The procedure will bring better results if we combine it with coaching. As a personal coach and energy healer, I have seen how people respond more positively when coaching and healing is combined.

A coach

Understands the importance of asking the right questions, when to challenge and when to apply compassionate support. I participate in the journey of my clients as a sister and constantly motivate them to work through negative feelings, perceived barriers and self-limiting beliefs. A heart felt process that involves an interconnectedness, as I help you, you help me, we help the world.

In most cases, it is about instigating a change to the way we think and feel. When you feel you have enough, you will stop looking for more. You gain contentment within yourself, which permits you to be happy, increasing your self-worth. A shift in perspective that changes everything for us. There is another pitfall that we should avoid, and it is self-pity. Reliving our hurts and injustices within our minds. It destroys us and makes us a victim of the situation.

“Self-pity is spiritual suicide. It is an indefensible self-mutilation of the soul.”
Anthon St. Maarten

There is good reason all coaches/ healers only allow clients to tell their story once… and that’s because the past is just that, it cannot be changed, and the moment is gone. It does not belong in the now or the future. It only hurts NOW because we play it out in our minds, over and over like a scratch record. Continually bring it into the moment.

Energy healing

Facilitates the release of energy that has become trapped within the body because the mind decided to hold onto it. Usually with good intention, it wanted to protect us, but that protection is often the cause of limiting beliefs and unhelpful behaviours.

By releasing energetic baggage that no longer serves us, we gain clarity over our reality, we start to see that everything in our lives is not all bad, giving us a greater sense of abundance.

When we feel abundant, we open our hearts to new experiences and by doing so, expand our realities in ways we never imagined before. We become empowered women.

It fascinates me to discover the potential of the human mind. I feel blessed to have the skills and ability to help others heal. I use my knowledge and experience to bring about positive changes in women and together we impact the world and to do so is a privilege.
